Leeds Piano Trail - Leeds International Piano Competition

I was selected to create a playable piano sculpture for the Leeds Piano Trail for the Leeds International Piano competition.

The piano is situated in Kirkgate Market where it is a regularly used fixture of the multifunctional event space.

The design of the piano is inspired by contemporary graphic music scores, where shape, line and colour is used instead of more traditional scores.

The sculptural music score sits on top of the piano and acts as a jumping off point for visitors to compose and play music.
